“Marry Had a Little Lamb” is the second best song to learn.  The melody is very recognizable and also features stepwise motion. The tune uses the same three keys and the rhythm is easy to understand because it’s usually quarter notes.

“Ode to Joy” is another good pick to play. Like the two previous songs, it also features stepwise motion and have a very familiar melody, but this time, it introduces the concept of starting on a note other that the root note of the scale in which the song is written.
